Rachel Powell

    KEOTA ? Rachel Powell, 94, of Wellman, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in Parkview Manor in Wellman.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the United Church of Faith in Keota with the Rev. Dennis Hopes and the Rev. Ron Kennel officiating. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Powell Funeral Home in Keota. A memorial fund has been established for United Church of Faith, Parkview Manor Chaplaincy Program, Wilson Memorial Library, and Lagos Acres.

    Mrs. Powell was born July 27, 1916, in La Tour, Mo., the daughter of Thomas L. and Nancy (Schrock) Byler. She married Lewis J. Powell on Jan. 22, 1939, at the Goshen College Mennonite Church in Goshen, Ind.
