Rae Alan Wittmayer

      WASHINGTON - Rae Alan Wittmayer, 67, of Washington, died at his home Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, following a lengthy illness.

      A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Brian Gentz officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Monday. Interment will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. A memorial has been established for the family.

      Mr. Wittmayer was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Beulah, N.D., to Edward and Vera (Johnson) Wittmayer. He was first married to Blanche Anderson in 1958 and later married Laurie Anderson on Aug. 12, 1972, in Forest City.
