Ralph Jr. Young
KALONA ? Ralph Jr. Young, 77, of rural Oxford, died Friday, May 14, 2010, in University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, from heart complications.
Celebration of life services were at 10 a.m. today at St. Peter?s Catholic Church in Cosgrove. Burial was in St. Vincent?s Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.
Mr. Young was born June 21, 1932, in Ainsworth, the son of Ralph and Luverne (Hazen) Young. He married Joann Shabalick in New Jersey. The couple had two daughters, Carolyn Jean, and Lisa Ann, and later divorced. He married Emilie Ruth in 1995.
