Ralph Schlabaugh

      KALONA - Ralph Schlabaugh, 90, of Pleasantview Home in Kalona died Sunday, July 29, 2007 in the home after a lingering illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 in the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church in rural Kalona with the Rev. Richard Swartzendruber and the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Burial will be in South Gingerich Cemetery in Kalona. Memorials may be made to the Pleasantview Home or the Mennonite Central Committee.

      Mr. Schlabaugh was born Aug. 24, 1916 in Sharon Center, the son of Mahlon and Katie (Miller) Schlabaugh. He married Martha Glick on Jan. 7, 1940 in Fairview Church in Kalona.
