Ralph W. Ritz

      Ralph W. Ritz, 75, of Fairfield, formerly of Selma, died at 7:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in rural Floris with military rites by American Legion John Hyson Reneker Post No. 494 of Douds.

      Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

      Memorials to Hospice of Central Iowa may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 2901 W. Adams Ave., Apt. B, Fairfield 52556.

      Mr. Ritz was born May 25, 1932, in rural Floris to Harry O. and Nellie Jones Ritz. He married Evelyn Madden Aug. 5, 1955, at Selma United Methodist Church.
