Ramona I. Countryman September 23, 1935 - July 23, 2005

      Ramona Irene Countryman, 69, of Birmingham, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham, with the Rev. Len Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Building Blocks of Birmingham, Birmingham Fire Department and Sunnybrook Assisted Living.

      Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nadine Countryman and Rhonda Countryman, both of Fairfield; a son, Jim Countryman of Birmingham; a grandson; a brother, John Hudson of East St. Louis, Ill.; and a sister, Helen Mendenhall of Mt. Pleasant.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
