Randy L. Albright

Randy Lewis Albright, 55, of Coralville, died Thursday, July 9, 2015, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 13, at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. The body has been cremated. Family visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A general memorial has been established.

Mr. Albright was born April 16, 1960, the son of Jerry and Virginia (Rotzinger) Albright.

He graduated from Washington High School in 1978. He was employed by the University of Iowa for many years, and most recently with The Gazette newspaper. He enjoyed car racing and mushroom hunting, and was an avid Hawkeye fan.

Surviving are his mother, Virginia Maier and husband Don of Iowa City; one brother, Rich Albright and wife Renee of Boone; and three sisters, Vickie McGuire and husband Michal of Washington, Janice Fox and husband Duane of Fremont, and Sue Mulnix and husband Paul of Wilton.

He was preceded in death by his father.
