Ray Eakins
KEOTA-Ray Eakins, 62, of Keota, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at home, following a lengthy illness.
A Mass of the Resurrection was held this morning at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Marty Goetz and the Rev. Robert Mann officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Eakins was born on April 18, 1942, in Davis County, to Dale and Bettie (Ashcraft) Eakins. On Aug. 8, 1964, he married JoEllen Peiffer in Keota.
