Ray Ogles August 24, 1946 - February 15, 2004

Ray Ogles, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines while visiting family.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the service with Dean King, Commander. Following the service, the body will be cremated. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial trust fund has been established to his grandchildren's education.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Brad and his wife Shelly Ogles of Grimes; a daughter, Yvonne Ogles of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Young of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Carolyn Harris of Fountain Hill, Ark.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
