Raymond E. Ward November 3, 1943 - December 26, 2003

Raymond E. Ward, 60, of West Point, died at 2:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at the West Point Care Center.

      The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, with the Rev. Apo P. Mpanda officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Houghton. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Link Funeral Home in West Point, with a rosary at 3 p.m. and a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. A memorial has been established to Marquette Catholic Schools.

Survivors include two brothers, Gus and his wife Francine Ward of Houghton, and Carl and his wife Lynn Ward of Waynesboro, Ga.; and a stepsister, Rae and her husband Clarence Holtkamp of Salem.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, George Ward.
