Raymond E. Zuehlke

      Raymond E. Zuehlke, 87, of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

      A funeral was held today at First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Herb Shafer officiating. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.

      Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church, Zion Lutheran Cemetery and Amenity Hospice of Cedar Rapids.

      Mr. Zuehlke was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Libertyville, the son of William and Emma Ziech Zuehlke. He married Alice A. Schleeter April 11, 1947, at her parents' home in rural Douds.
