Raymond Earl Pfeiffer

      FORT SCOTT, KAN.-Raymond Earl Pfeiffer, 82, of Mission, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at the home of his daughter in Owasso, Okla.

      A family visitation is planned for Friday, Dec. 15, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home in Fort Scott, Kan., with Masonic services at 1:40 p.m. Burial services will be at the Fort Scott National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with military honors conducted by the Olson-Frary-Burkhart VFW Post 1165. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to VFW Post 1165 (Scholarship Fund).

      Mr. Pfeiffer was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Swarts, Mo., to Lester Artie Pfeiffer and Ella Mae (Wilson) Pfeiffer. He married Rachael Pauline Johnston on Sept. 26, 1944. She preceded him in death.
