Raymond Graber
Raymond P. Graber, 89, of rural Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday at his home unexpectedly.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 at the Pleasant View Mennonite church in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery near Wayland. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, Aug. 25 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Gideons International or to Pleasant View Mennonite Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn and her husband Norman Leichty of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Gary and his wife Gloria Graber of Mt. Pleasant, and Russell and his wife Barbara Graber of Newton, Kan.; a special "son," Wouter P. Martens of Venhuizen, Netherlands; five sisters, Rachel and her husband Roger Wyse, Bernice and her husband Max Roth, and Beulah Mae and her husband Dale Swartzendruber, all of Wayland; Lois and her husband Wilber Swartzendruber of Wellman; and Sara Lu and her husband Charles Fredrick of Eugene, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Welma Nelson; and three brothers, Clarence, Willis and Virgil.
