Raymond H. Kerr

      Raymond H. Kerr, 98, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.

      Visitation for Mr. Kerr will begin after 12 noon, on Monday, May 1, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant.

      Raymond was born on June 12, 1907, in Mt. Union, IA, to Leander and Pearl Harmison Kerr. He grew up in Mt. Pleasant and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1926. On September 4, 1935, he married Lusena Gilyeart in Mt. Pleasant. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2004.
