Raymond Leroy Galitz

    COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Raymond Leroy Galitz, 95, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, in Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Al Coffin officiating.  Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Allen Wright Hanft Post No. 100.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  A general memorial fund has been established.

    Mr. Galitz was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Low Moor, the son of Herman and Fanny (Newmarch) Galitz.  He married Geraldine Seifert on June 16, 1937, in DeWitt.  She preceded him in death.  He married Marian Jean Rutt on Dec. 29, 1984, in Columbus Junction.
