Reesa D. Franklin-Schwantes

      Reesa D. Franklin-Schwantes, 40, of rural Douds, died at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

      A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. John Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Iowaville Cemetery in rural Selma.

      Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 3:30-5 p.m. and 7-8 p.m.

      Memorials to a college fund for her daughter may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 15626 Acorn Ave., Douds 52551.

      Mrs. Franklin-Schwantes was born Aug. 10, 1966, in Fort Madison, the daughter of Roger and Nancy Deeds Franklin. She married Maynard Schwantes. They were divorced.
