Reginald Dean Paxton, 82, of Brighton died at Arbor Court Nursing Home in Mt Pleasant. He was born in Ollie, IA August 22, 1938, to Rev. Clayton Reginald and Holly Alice McCreery Paxton. Dean grew up in Ollie and attended Ollie Schools. He worked in the casting department of Falco in Fairfield for 30 years and retired in 2003.

Dean is survived by two sisters: Frances Nichols of Northern Iowa and Arloene Shy of Mt. Pleasant and one brother, James Paxton (Evalene) of Humeston, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton followed by graveside services and burial at Ollie Cemetery, Ollie, IA, with Pastor Rick Hughes officiating. A general memorial has been established and may be mailed to the family: Arloene Shy 1102 N. Main Street,Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is in charge of arrangements.
