Rev. Robert L. Matheus May 17, 1922 - November 3, 2005

      The Rev. Robert Louis Matheus, 83, of 325 W. 4th Street, Boone, Iowa passed away at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa on Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Day Matheus of Boone, Iowa, three sons, Robert Matheus and his wife Donna of Columbus, Ohio, Richard Matheus of Libertyville, Illinois, Randy Matheus and his wife Jan of Minneapolis, Minnesota, three granddaughters, Allison Matheus of Libertyville, Illinois, Kayla Matheus of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dana Matheus of Oxford, Ohio, two nephews, John Matheus of Michigan, Jeff Matheus and his wife Donna of Gurnee, Illinois, and extended family Susan Valdez of Monta Vista, Colorado, and Charlotte Jean Crites and her husband Robin of Monta Vista, Colorado.

      Services will be held Tuesday morning, November 8th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Des Moines, Iowa with The Right Rev. Alan Scarfe officiating.

      Interment with full military honors will be Thursday morning, November 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

      Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Monday from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday morning at the St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Des Moines from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

      The family will be present at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Monday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. to greet friends.

      In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to the Grace Episcopal Church, 707 - 8th Street, Boone, Iowa, 50036.
