Rex A. Whitcanack

      Rex A. Whitcanack, 92, of Keosauqua, formerly of Nevada, Iowa, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

      A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.

      Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

      Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 306 Henry St., Keosauqua 52565.

      Mr. Whitcanack was born Jan. 16, 1915, in Van Buren County, the son of Benjamin H. and Dott Roush Whitcanack. He married Clara Johnston Aug. 18, 1943, in Fairfield.
