Rex R. Brown

      Rex Ralph Brown, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of the Denova area of Salem, died Friday morning, April 14, 2006, at Park Place.

      The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home, with the Revs. Don Coffin and Richard Iles officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery in rural Salem.

      Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

      Memorials have been established for Cedar Creek Friends Church and the Cedar Creek Cemetery.

      Born July 3, 1917, in the Denova area of rural Salem, he was the son of Charlie and Retta Smith Brown. On Dec. 3, 1942, he married Meta Moyle in Mt. Pleasant.
