Rex W. Barton

      MT. PLEASANT - Rex W. Barton, 75 of Lockridge, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, in the Henry County Health Center.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 in the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Don Coffin officiating. Burial will be in the Lambirth Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to H2O (Help to Others) and Lambirth Cemetery.

      Mr. Barton was born at home in rural Mt. Pleasant on April 25, 1933, the son of Roy H. and Minnie Rae (LaMar) Barton. He married Lavina Ann Schantz on June 3, 1956 in Washington. She died on Aug. 24, 2008.
