Rex William Barton

      Rex William Barton, 75, of Lockridge, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Henry County Health Center.

      A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Don Coffin officiating. Burial will be in Lambirth Cemetery.

      Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the memorial chapel, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

      Memorials have been established to H2O (Help to Others) and Lambirth Cemetery.

      Mr. Barton was born April 25, 1933, at home in rural Mount Pleasant, the son of Roy H. and Minnie Rae LaMar Barton. He married Lavina Ann Schantz June 3, 1956, in Washington, Iowa. She died Aug. 24, 2008.
