Rhonda S. Sammons

Rhonda S. Sammons, 38, of Winfield, died Saturday, March 8, at her home.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Murphy Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Grant Cemetery in Rome.

She was born May 23, 1969 in Fairfield, the daughter of John and Carol White Sammons. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School.

She is survived by her parents; her daughter, Renay Halterman and her father Mike Halterman of Rome; two brothers, Brian Burden of Mt. Pleasant and Doug Burden and his wife Brenda of New London; her sister, Denise Cosgrove and her husband Tony of Salem; and her special friend John Septer of Winfield.

Her brother Johnnie preceded her in death.
