Richard A. Gallerick May 11, 1918 - April 12, 2004

Richard Arthur Gallerick, 85, of Franklin, died on Monday, April 12, 2004, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 15 at Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, with the Rev. Judy Holcomb officiating. Burial with full military rites conducted by Gillaspey-Moodie American Legion Post 474 will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fort Madison. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Donnellson Ball Association and the city of Franklin.

Survivors include four sons, Francis Gallerick of New London, and Barry Gallerick, Dennis Gallerick and Douglas Gallerick, all of Franklin; two daughters, Stephanie Oborny of Albuquerque, and Tami Nichols of Franklin; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
