Richard A. Liebendorfer

      Richard A. Liebendorfer died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., from complications following surgery for lung cancer.

      Dr. Liebendorfer will be deeply missed by his Iowa family and friends. He was an important person in all our lives; a special brother-in-law, uncle and friend. A memorial service will be held at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Okla., on Feb. 3, 2006, at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the University of Iowa College of Medicine, St. John's Medical Center Foundation, the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation, Heifer International, or Neighbor for Neighbor.

      Dr. Liebendorfer was born Oct. 15, 1927, in Superior, Wis.
