Richard A. 'Tony' Wick July 17, 1953 - January 25, 2004

Richard Anthony "Tony" Wick, 50, of New London, died at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant, after a two-year battle with cancer.

      A "Celebration of Life" with his family will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with a time of remembrance at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Robert Dameron officiating. The casket will remain closed. A private family burial will be on Thursday, Jan. 29 at Jaggar Cemetery in Danville, with the Rev. Dan Dingus officiating. Visitation will be after noon on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the chapel. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeremy Wick of Fairfield; two daughters, Susan Wick and Jenna Wick, both at home; his parents of New London; and three sisters, Michelle and her husband David McIntyre of Danville and Cheryl and her husband Dan Parks, of New London, and Melanie and her husband Jay Boyd of New London.

      He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
