Richard Dale 'R.D.' Shaffer
KEOTA - Richard Dale "R.D." Shaffer, 66, of Keota, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at his home, of cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at United Church of Faith in Keota, with the Rev. Sallie Graves officiating. Burial will be in Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota. A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Washington County.
Mr. Shaffer was born on Dec. 27, 1937, in Buchanan County, to Dale and Mary (Brown) Shaffer. On March 13, 1965, he married Darlene Bandy in Washington.
