Richard ?Dick? R. Hassell, 75, of Burlington, died at 2:27 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2001, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
The funeral was held Wednesday, May 16 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. Military rites were conducted by VFW Post 10102 and 9162 at the graveside in the Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements were handled by Eicher-Sheagren Funeral and Cremation Service of Burlington.
