Richard G. Hileman April 17, 1923 - March 3, 2004

Richard Glenn "Dick" Hileman, 80, of Mesquite, Texas, formerly of Des Moines, died on March 3, 2004, in Mesquite.

      The funeral service was on March 6 in Sunnyvale, Texas, and a graveside memorial service will be in Burge Cemetery in New London later this spring. Elliott Chapel is in charge of local arrangements. A memorial has been established to Iowa Wesleyan College.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rich and his wife Sara Gaarde Hileman of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Marion Hileman and her husband Stan Bond of Batavia, Ill., Martye Hileman and her husband David Womble of Albuquerque, N.M., and Janice Hileman and her husband Bryan Houser of Forney, Texas; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Velda McCleary of Mt. Pleasant.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mothers and three brothers, Everett, LeDru and Virgil.
