Richard Kleese, 61, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at the McCreedy Home in Washington, Iowa, with family and friends at his side.

Richard Kleese was born March 5, 1958, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Ed and Linda (Crossett) Kleese.

He is survived by his daughter, Richelle (Marcus) Slaymaker; Layton and Liza Slaymaker, Chad (Makyla) Pepper, Ryen, Chashden and Teage; parents, Ed and Linda Kleese; brothers, Ed Jr. and Mark (Debra) Kleese; nieces and nephews, Issak Kleese, Kassi Klingzman, Hannah and Amari Klingzman, Brandi (Mike) Dawson, Liam Dawson, Jeremy Kleese, and friend Kayla Miller, Bailey and Blaine, Travis (Michaela) Kleese and Brandon Kleese; as well as many extended family and friends.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life get together from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Dallmeyer Hall (Washington Fairgrounds) where a light meal will be served.
