Richard L. Lease

      Richard L. Lease, 80, of Crawfordsville, died Monday, May 24, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following heart complications.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, at United Church of Crawfordsville with the Rev. Nancy Oehler and Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Cemetery with military rites accorded. Visitation began at noon today at Jones-Eden Funeral Home. Masonic Lodge services will be held at 6 this evening at the funeral home. memorials may be directed to United Church of Crawfordsville or Camp Courageous.

      Mr. Lease was born on Dec. 19, 1923, in Crawfordsville, to A.G. "Bud" and Rebecca (Squire) Lease. He married Helen Morse on Feb. 14, 1947, in North English.
