Richard Lee Dearing September 22, 1916- June 15, 2003

Richard Lee Dearing, 86, of Donnellson Health Center, formerly of Fort Madison, died at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2003, at the center.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison, with the Rev. Barbara Krueger officiating. The body will be cremated following the service. A private burial will be at a later date in Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today at the chapel, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Claypoole Masonic Lodge scholarship fund.

      Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Winheim of Keosuaqua and Linda Sunden of Fort Madison; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Crawford of Trenton, Mo.
