Richard "Rick" Edward Starr of Fairfield, died peacefully Aug. 19, 2020, of natural causes.

He was born in Queens, N.Y. Rick and his wife Sharon moved to Fairfield in the early 80's. Their son Daniel was born in 1987.

Rick was a Veteran of the Air Force. He had a bachelor of science degree from the State University at Stony Brook, N.Y. He also had a master's degree in science from Polytechnic Institute of N.Y.

He was married to Sharon Anne Starr and began their joyful union 44 years ago.

Rick's interests included Toastmasters, playing with his son, Daniel and Daniel's dog Nanaki, playing poker with dear friends, visiting the casino for poker matches and an online book club. He loved juggling and playing the harmonica (not at the same time).

He was a beloved member of the community and was regarded as a kind, gentle, intelligent, helpful and good natured person. He had a great sense of humor.
