Richard S. Hostetler December 11, 1925 - September 23, 2005

Richard S. Hostetler, 79, of Fairfield, died Sept. 23, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at First Augustana Lutheran Church in Lockridge with the Rev. David Franker officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Memorials may be made to First Augustana or ELCA Disaster Response for Katrina.

Survivors include his wife, Lois of Fairfield; two daughters, Deborah and her husband Jim Johnson of Fairfield and Marcia and her husband Craig Barnes of British Columbia, Canada; one son, Gerald and his wife Donna Hostetler of North Liberty; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Paul and one sister, Dorothy Steele.
