Richard (Dale) Starr, 76, of Richland died Tuesday Morning, November 20, 2018, at his home. He was born March 27, 1942, in Fairfield to Richard and Edith Rosaleen McClure Starr. Dale graduated from Ollie High School in 1960 and married Carol Ann Ott on October 14, 1961, in Clear Creek, Iowa. He worked at Rockwell International in Fairfield for 36 years, he also worked at Rockwell Credit Union. After retiring from Rockwell, he drove the Washington County Mini bus for 20 years. Dale also played guitar and sang in the Dads and Lads Band for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, mushrooming, collecting antiques, and wood working.

Dale is survived by his wife ,Carol, of Richland, 2 sons Randy (Tracy) Starr of Richland and Wayne (Leigh) Starr of Sergeant Bluff, IA, daughter Melody (Scott) Kramer of North Liberty, 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild, 2 sisters: Kay Roop of Sigourney and Janet (Dick) Andeway of Ollie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday November 23, 2018, at Mother Cabrini Church in Richland with Rev. Charles J. Fladung officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery near Harper. Prayers for A Christian Wake will be held at 4 P.M.. Thursday November 22, 2018, at Mother Cabrini Church followed by visitation with the family to 6 P.M. Memorials for Richland First Responders, Richland Fire Department, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Mahaska-Keokuk Hospice may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 307 S. Richland Street, Richland, IA 52585. Gould Funeral Home of Richland is in charge of arrangements.
