Richard W. Walker

      Richard W. Walker, 72, of Batavia, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

      A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Batavia United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Dvorak officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.

      Open visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. and family visitation until 8:30 p.m.

      Memorials may be directed to Batavia United Methodist Church.

      Mr. Walker was born July 11, 1935, in Henry County, the son of Otis and Dorothy Rudiger Walker. He married Barbara Metzner Jan. 21, 1969, in Germany.
