Rita Louise Ward Sutherlin, 59, of North Carolina, formerly of Selma, Ala., died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Live Oak Cemetery, with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma, Ala., directing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local animal shelter.
