Robert A. 'Bud' Garrett

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Robert A. "Bud" Garrett, 88, of Columbus City died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in the VA Medical Center in Iowa City.

      Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29 in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch of Columbus City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery with full military rites by the Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post No. 100. Following the committal service there will be a time of food and fellowship in the Mason Hall and Community Center in Columbus City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 28 in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Garrett was born Sept. 29, 1918 in New Boston, Ill., the son of Frank and Laura (LaMason) Garrett. He married Mary Marie Morgan on Oct. 24, 1945 in the Methodist Parsonage in West Liberty.
