Robert A. Henderson July 25, 1914 - June 5, 2004

      Robert "Bob" Alexander Henderson, 89, of Washington, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington, after being seriously ill for the past six weeks.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 8 at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Revs. Charles Brock and Kitch Shatzer. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Visitation will begin today at noon at the funeral home with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Washington Public Library, Washington County Hospice or United Presbyterian Church in Washington.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David and his wife Linda Henderson of Camdenton, Mo., Paul Henderson of Mason City, and Dean Henderson of Muscatine; a sister, Edith and her husband Bill Trotter of Ainsworth; a son-in-law, Carter Sheese of Aledo, Ill.; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Roberta Sheese; and two sisters, Helen Gamon and Mary Booth.
