Robert ?Bob? McDonald

CEDAR RAPIDS ? Robert ?Bob? McDonald, 71, of Brighton, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, in his home.

    A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at The First Church of God in Brighton.  The body has been cremated.  Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be directed to the Washington County Humane Society or to Hospice of Washington County.  The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa in Cedar Rapids is handling the arrangements.

    Mr. McDonald was born Feb. 4, 1938, in Prairie City, the son of Robert Bruce McDonald Sr. and Kathryn (Steele) McDonald.  He married Mary Etta Bender on Dec. 29, 1955, at the bride?s home in Washington.
