Robert Collins

Robert "Dennis" Collins, 53, of Stockport, died Monday, Jan. 14, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory in Farmington, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a wake service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Apo T. Mpanda officiating. Following the visitation and wake service, his body will be cremated, with inurnment at a later date at Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.

A memorial has been established in his memory.

He was born April 10, 1954 in Keokuk, the son of Robert and Eileen Jenkins Collins. On Dec. 26, 1973, he married Lynette Anderson in Farmington. He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his son, Shane Collins and his wife Lydia of Elgin, Texas; his daughter, Lindsay Cravy and her husband Brian of Brownsville, Texas; one sister, Kathy Dodds and her husband James of Hallsville, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

His parents, sister Mary, and niece Meagan preceded him in death.
