Robert D. Dorothy

Robert D. Dorothy, 53, of Van Buren, Ark. died Wednesday, March 29, 2000 in a hospital in Van Buren.

The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., with Military Honors provided by the District #7 Burial Detail. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson St., Van Buren, Ark. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Bob Dorothy Memorial Fund, 602 Garrison St., Fort Smith, Ark., 72901.

Mr. Dorothy was married to Connie Dorothy. He was a native of Rome and had been a resident of Crawford County, Ark. for the past 10 years. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired water well driller.

Survivors include his wife of Van Buren, Ark.; two daughters, Leslae Dorothy of Fort Smith, Ark. and Cindy Miller of Van Buren, Ark.; two sons, Robert Dorothy II of Van Buren, Ark. and Patrick Dorothy of Alma, Ark.; one sister, Thelma Lane of New London; one brother, Tom Dorothy of Mt. Pleasant; and two grandchildren.
