Robert Edwin Barnett

Robert Edwin Barnett, 62, of Stockport, died at 5:39 a.m. Monday, June 19, at his home.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at thje Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham, with the Rev. Ted Morelock officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the Raymond Funeral Home with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. Barnett was born September 4, 1937, at Moline, Ill., the son of Virgil and Dorothy Tobin Barnett. He married Pamela Teal on July 7, 1979 at Mt. Pleasant.

He lived most of his life in the Stockport community and was a member of the Jefferson County Izaak Walton League. He was employed for a number of years at Prairie Grain in Stockport and later at Buff?s Truck Stop in Mt. Pleasant.

Survivors include his wife, his mother, one brother, Jack Barnett of Colorado, and one sister, Elaine Harrington of Texas. He was preceded in death by his father.
