Robert Eugene Hagans, 62, of Brighton died early Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington. He was born in Fairfield July 30, 1961, to Richard Lee and Lynette Marie Baldwin Hagans. Bob was raised by Linda Jeanne Harris Hagans and his father in the Fairfield and Brighton area, attended Brighton schools and married Debra J. Russell in Brighton July 30, 1994. He worked as a cook at Keeley’s Tap in Brighton, in building construction and later as a caretaker.

He is survived by his wife Debra of Brighton, and siblings Deanna Filson (Gary) of Stockport, Rick Hagans (Marcy) of Washington, and David Hagans (Kim) of Brighton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Terry Hagans.

Visitation will be held at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton 1:30 to 3 P.M. Sunday afternoon, August 13, 2023. A private burial will be held later. General memorials may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 295, Brighton, IA 52540.
