Robert H. Meeker
Robert "Bob" Harley Meeker, 79, of Columbus Junction, died of pulmonary disease Friday, Feb 17, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
The memorial service was held today at 10:30 at Columbus Junction United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Following the memorial service and military rites there was a time of food and fellowship at the American Legion Hall in Columbus Junction.
Memorials have been established for the Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post 100 and Columbus Junction United Methodist Church.
Mr. Meeker was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Fredonia, the son of Harley C. and Nellie M. Gambell Meeker.
