Robert J. 'Bob' Fuhrmeister Jr.

      LONE TREE - Robert J. "Bob" Fuhrmeister Jr. 63, of Lone Tree, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, in his home following an extended illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31 in the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery near rural Nichols with military rites by the Lone Tree American Legion Post No. 457. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held in the Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday with an 8 p.m. prayer service. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Fuhrmeister was born Nov. 17, 1943 in Iowa City, the son of Robert and Gertrude (Evans) Fuhrmeister Sr. He married Janis Radford on July 2, 1966 in West Branch.
