Robert J Cheyney

      Robert J Cheyney, 82, of Washington, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at United Presbyterian Home in Washington, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Brett Best officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home, with family present from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Washington County Hospice or First Baptist Church.

      Mr. Cheyney was born on Sept. 26, 1921, in Milan, Mo., to John and Lola Ruth (Burton) Cheyney. he married Lucy Belle Summy on Feb. 16, 1943, in Ft. Carson, Colo.
