Robert J. Duwa

      RIVERSIDE - Robert J. Duwa, 89, of Riverside died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006 in his home in rural Riverside after a lingering illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Riverside. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. in St. Mary's Church. A rosary will be spoken at 7 p.m. Sunday in the church. Memorials may be made to the Iowa City Hospice or the Catholic Relief Services.

      Mr. Duwa was born Sept. 22, 1917 in Riverside, the son of Albert and Zitta (Waldschmidt) Duwa. He married Mary Louise Lillis on Jan. 16, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo.
