Robert J. Rich

Robert J. "Bob" Rich 78, of Wayland, died Friday, Dec. 5, at Henry County Health Center following a short illness.

Visitation will began at noon today, Dec. 8, at Wayland Mennonite Church, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. in the evening. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Wayland Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Linda Renken officiating. Burial will be at Cottonwood Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Central Iowa, the Parkview Home in Wayland or the Cottonwood Cemetery Fund. Beatty Funeral Home of Wayland is assisting with arrangements.

He was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Henry County, the son of Velma Rich Messer. On Sept. 6, 1951, he married Mildred Verlee Hill.
