Robert L. Marek

      Robert L. Marek, age 75, of Washington died suddenly Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at Washington County Hospital.

      Funeral Mass service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church with Father Edward O'Meila. Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home. Burial will take place in St. Vincent's Cemetery in Riverside. Visitation will be begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be directed to diabetes or heart research.

      Robert Lee Marek, age 75, of Washington was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Washington County, the son of Charles A. and Vera S. (Shalla) Marek. He attended rural school and was a 1947 graduate of Washington High School. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Ruth on Sept. 12, 1950, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside.
